                                        (c)  Environmental Radioactivity studies around Mysore, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru.

Innovative programmes started at Kuvempu University:

            1)  University students in affiliated colleges involved in Adult Literacy programme with an incentive to award marks at the Degree level with a weightage to get admission to Post Graduate Studies.

   2) Organized monthly colloquia involving all departments of Science discipline on third Saturday and all departments of Social Sciences and Humanities on First Saturday on each month to promote Interdisciplinary and multi Disciplinary Research.

 3) Initiated Joint Research programme on Bio Diversity in Bhadra Reserve Forest Area having  an MOU with the Karnataka Forest Department.
